Processing of passports will occur in Montreal on June 1

A representative of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ottawa will be available at the Church during the barbecue on June 1 to provide consular services such as passport renewal, stamping of official documents, answers to your questions regarding taxes and more.

To renew your Norwegian passport on June 1, please bring your old passport, your Canadian permanent resident card and $91 (in cash if possible) to cover administrative fees and mailing costs. For additional information, please consult the Embassy’s website at

If you left Norway prior to 1975 and wish to renew your passport, please contact the Embassy *well in advance* of June 1 so that your information in the Norwegian “folkeregister” can be verified:

Those under 18 years of age must have written authorization from both parents in order to receive a Norwegian passport.
